Troth

Understand I make no guarantees but here is my boot.ini from a single
boot install.

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect

Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Modifiying BOOT.INI

I'm trying to remove the PREVIOUS OPERATING SYSTEM option on my BOOT.INI
file, so it no longer asks me at start-up which operating system I want
to boot into. Is it safe to just delete the BOOT.INI file, since there
only is one operating system on the computer? Or, is it safer to just
manually modify the BOOT.INI file? And, if the latter, here's my
BOOT.INI file... what do I remove? . .....BEGIN FILE TEXT..... [boot
loader] timeout=30 default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP
Professional" /fastdetect C:\="Previous Operating System on C:"

.....END FILE TEXT.....
