"Right-click and send to D" as opposed to "drag-n-drop" is exactly the same thing. As with every other procedure for doing things, there's always more than 1 way to do it. If you're son can read the CD, then that method is fine for you. ---Troth ----- Original Message ----- From: SandiBeach To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Friday, September 12, 2003 10:28 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Burning to CD Troth, I am using Win 98SE and my son has ME. What happens if I right click and send them to D Drive? My son suggested dragging and dropping and I can do that but why would that work better or any differently than the right click, send to option? If you're using anything prior to XP, you can install packet software that will allow you do something like this (if not exactly like this). Like you said, if you're using XP, no you don't need any other software. But, independant software will sport features that the standard XP burning app doesn't have. So, it really depends on what you want to do. Also, if you have XP and your son does not, the above method might not work for you. You can burn to the CD, but your son won't necessarily be able to read the CD. > What operating systems are you and your son using? > > ---Troth > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Joyce > To: pctechtalk > Sent: Thursday, September 11, 2003 11:10 PM > Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Burning to CD > > > I have used floppies mostly but now have a CD burner.
