Well, Scott, all I can say in answer to you is that over the last
several (+5)years the only virus I have had was in my SysRestore files.
  That was odd in that it kept appearing after several different types
of scans.  Then, I think it was Sir Troth suggested that the problem
could exist in the SR files.  I disabled them, restarted, and reenabled
the SRfiles, and have had no problem since. AVAST gave me instant
problems, so I revertd to AVG.  Say what you will, but I won't be
influenced. One other thing is that some AV progs build into their
structure the ability to tell the innocent that they have just cleaned a
virus which may not have been.  I don't know the truth of any of this -
I am not a guru, but  my experience is that AVG is tops, and free. I'll
stick with it.
