A manufacturer called Emachines is selling PCs with the Sempron chip (512 MB RAM, 1.8 GHz, Ethernet port) for about $400 plus 8.375% New York City / NY State tax. The link gives a review of the chip: http://tinyurl.com/o8sne Compaq is being sold as refurbished and their is no warranty that the PCs have Ethernet port. I prefer cash and carry. I am way from my job too much and do not want to waste a day for a UPS delivery, especially so, technically I am considered deaf. HP is the high price end of the PC market. So what is the story of Emachines and the Sempron chip? Gerald __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
