Gateway has some low-profile computers with itty-bitty power supplies
on which the fans are virtually guaranteed to die.  I don't know if
they're still selling that model, though.

There *IS* such a thing as "too cheap".

Semprons and Durons are like Intels' Celerons; they have less cache,
so are noticeably cheaper. However, this also makes them slower.

512 MB is adequate for most purposes, unless you're doing video
processing, in which case 1 GB is better.
