GREEN DAY POSTPONES CONCERTS NEW YORK (AP) Green Day has postponed the
first three dates of its upcoming tour and canceled a fourth show due
to illness. The band says its concerts in St. Louis, Chicago and
Detroit will be rescheduled, while a fourth appearance in Toronto has
been canceled. A statement from the band says members are "so sad" to
have to miss the shows. But it says members of the group have been
"battling this infection" for days but the illness "just got the best

HIP-HOP AWARDS ATLANTA (AP) Snoop Dogg he used to feel misunderstood.
But now he is encouraging other rappers who feel the same way to be
true to themselves. The veteran rapper received the "I Am Hip Hop"
award during the BET Hip-Hop Awards on Saturday. He urged young rappers
to "keep pushing, be original and diverse. Many members of hip-hop
royalty turned out to support Snoop at the awards, including Dr. Dre
and Pharrell Williams. In presenting the award, Kendrick Lamar said
that Snoop "mastered" hip-hop game and in doing so, "paved a way into
many hearts. BET AWARDS - POLICE BRUTALITY ATLANTA (AP) Police
brutality was a major, recurring, theme during the BET Hip-Hop Awards.
T.I. was one of the main performers taking on the topic. He performed
the politically themed song "Us or Else" as he was surrounded by a
stage full of people wearing dark clothes and holding up "Black Lives
Matter" signs. T.I. says he wrote the song after hearing about a series
of deaths of black people who lost their lives in encounters with
police. T.I. said at the end of his performance that blacks should
unite adding that "they can't kill us all. The show will air on BET on
Oct. 4. COOLIO - ARREST LOS ANGELES (AP) Coolio has had a run-in with
the law. The rapper was arrested after a loaded firearm was found in a
carry-on bag during security screening at Los Angeles International
Airport. Police at the airport were alerted by TSA workers who
investigated an effort by a man to bring the weapon through security.
The investigation led them to Coolio, who was booked on suspicion of
possession of a firearm by a felon. The man with the carry-on bag was
released. NICK GORDON - CIVIL SUIT ATLANTA (AP) Bobby Brown says he is
pleased with a judge's ruling in a wrongful death lawsuit filed against
his daughter's partner. A judge in Atlanta ruled against Nick Gordon in
the suit this, after Gordon refused to meet any of the deadlines the
court imposed on him. However, the ruling does nothing to answer
questions about Bobbi Kristina Brown's death. The only child of Bobby
Brown and Whitney Houston was found face-down and unresponsive in a
bathtub in her home near Atlanta back in January, 2015. She died in
hospice care about six months later. Brown's family claimed Gordon gave
her a "toxic cocktail" before placing her in the tub. He has never been
charged in the case. The D.A. in the area says his office continues to
