Hope you are correct.

I'm not saying the use of symlinks corrupted the inventory. I'm saying
my inventory was corrupted and the only thing left behind as were these
msgs and the support analysts words "symlinks bad for OUI."

BTW, support said that they had been asking for a tool to repair the inventory
for a long time, but devel has refused. That says to me a couple of things
to me. 1) OUI support sees alot of inventory corruption and 2) OUI devel
may be weak.

I have a new idea to explore, but little evidence or modivation to test.
I'm thinking that the inventory restructure between v2 and v10 may have
had some issues that may have come into play. Perhaps something I did
wrt crossing that line blew my foot off. The sad part is that there
was no indication that the trigger had been pulled.

Perhaps I need to find new modivation. If I loose a disk, I may have to cross
that line again. The base install for linux 92x is 9204 and it uses OUI
2.2.0.18.0. Some patchset beyond that takes you to v10.

I'm posting here to see if anything bubbles up. Not looking to
answers to this event, just others obervations.
