On production auto-extend is prohibited. Full stop.
On staging generally it is turned off.
Test and development it is turned on with the maximum size set to to half the physical available disk.

Of course I'm old school. I even expect people to trim their emails when replying. as it shows respect
by not wasting the other people's time

YMMV

Good afternoon experts!
I am maybe andold fashioned DBA in that I prefer Autoextend to be turned
off on
all our databases.

It's particularly risky when developers are allowed to 'develop' on the
Prod databases. (We are moving away from that)

Do you all allow autoextend or prohibit it?

Best Wishes

Howard
