All the steps to copy necessary library files are clearly documented in
the SF for Oracle RAC installation guide.

        Alex,

10g CRS/RAC installation on SFRAC has some additional pre/post
install steps. Basically the we use the skgxn interface
(OSD layer) to detect the node failure and with the presence of
Veritas SF, CRS will rely on Veritas SF to determine the failure of the
other node. This is done by copying (or linking) the veritas shared
libraries with Oracle.

I won't be surprised if I don't see any hits on Metalink, but
you may be able to find the information from VEritas Support or SFRAC
documentation. It should be fairly simple and straight forward. Just to
have an understanding of the steps, check this veritas note.
http://seer.support.veritas.com/docs/273452.htm

Please be noted, when there is a problem with Installation/Node
evictions you may not be able to raise an SR with Oracle or file a bug
unless you can reproduce the same behaviour with the absence of SFRAC.

        Good Luck !

        Have a nice day !!

        Hi

        I have to perform a Oracle 10.2.0.2 <http://10.2.0.2/> RAC
Installation on Sun Solaris 10, Veritas Storage Foundation for RAC v5.0
will be used and will be installed by some Veritas guy.

I havent got previous experience with Veritas SF + RAC
combination, in 10g I have used only Oracle Clusterware. I wonder how
different will this be? What should I tell the Veritas guy about the
cluster configurations I need? At Metalink there is no document about
10g, there is one when 9i was released which I am reading it right now.

        TiA!
