Right on the money Kevin. Oracle is becoming more and more of a dictator
and thinks of itself as a one-stop-shop, which just can not be true and
is not. It is my understanding that they gave VERITAS a tough time when
they were certifying SFRAC with 10GR2 for both 4.x and 5.x.

This "reproduce without vendor clusterware" is the biggest red
herring out there. If
you are using software not listed in the RAC TEchnology
Certification Matrix for the
platform you are on. If you are suing something listed here:

http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/clustering/certify/te
ch_solaris_unix.html

this monkey business about reproducing without vendor
clusterware is just pure scare tactics
to get you to use platforms other than what you have chosen. If
Microsoft used such tactics
there would be a law suit.
