I can't verify the printing on checks right now, but long ago when my Optacon was working, I made a Word document which had the information in the right spot to fill in the spaces on my checks. I haven't ordered checks for a while because I can pay most everything via phone or Internet. It's kind of fun making a document work, though. So glad I had the Optacon. At least if I still have need to write a check, I can unless they have changed positions for the fill-ins. As long as my old word processor works, I use wallet-sized checks and just count lines and spaces to type the info in the right places, then verify it with the optacon and use a check guide to sign it. I've never used raised line checks and probably at this late date won't start; I've always just typed on regular checks. When the typewriter dies or I run out of those small checks I plan to go back to using Premier's talking checkbook software and Quickbooks-style checks.
