Dewey, VHF from 17 miles away?!? No wonder the antenna worked inside the personal effects safe. A Silver Sensor or Radio Shack double bow tie antenna isn't even designed to work with VHF, so why even bother with it at all? VHF is perfect for the paper clip antenna. I see four VHF DTV channels assigned to Las Vegas; 2, 7, 11, and 12. Which one did your demo use? I wonder how your demo with the personal effects safe would have worked on UHF, where the vast majority of DTV assignments are.
