A good turnout this morning at the Delta Ponds produced the following list. A
migrant flock of Yellow-rumps had both Mrytle and Audubon forms in perhaps
equal numbers, including also, one Black-throated Gray and many Orange-crowned
Warblers. A marauding river otter working beneath surface of the Wood Duck
pond was the probable cause for the total lack of waterfowl in this usually
show-case pond. Tracing the ripples, this mammal seemed to be covering the
territory in the shortist time possible.
