A record turnout of 19 bright-eyed birders at the coffee shop this morning,
split between Skinners Butte and Alton-Baker Park. The list below is for
Alton-Baker.

Canada Goose - a few ‘pair’ passed overhead.
Mallard - a few overhead
Bufflehead - 5 females and 2 males in the pond to the east.
Ring-necked Pheasant - at least 7 calling males.
Pied-billed Grebe - 1
Turkey Vulture - 1
Osprey - 3 nests in view at Autzon Stadium; two on platforms over the high
lights. At least 8 adults were seen
Bald Eagle - 2
Rock Pigeon - several
Eurasian Collared Dove - 3
Anna's Hummingbird - 4
Rufous Hummingbird - one small hummer was seen
Downy Woodpecker - 1
Northern Flicker - 2
Steller's Jay - 4
Western Scrub-Jay- 7
American Crow - a few
Tree Swallow - dominant swallow overhead
Violet-green Swallow - few
Barn Swallow - 1
Cliff Swallow - flying around at the stadium
Black-capped Chickadee - 12, at least 2 nest holes.
Bushtit - several, and one nest
Bewick's Wren - 4
Ruby-crowned Kinglet - 1
American Robin - 6
European Starling - few
Orange-crowned Warbler - 3
Yellow-rumped Warbler - flock in large maple included both 'races'
Spotted Towhee - 6
Song Sparrow - 4
White-crowned Sparrow - a fair number, many singing
Golden-crowned Sparrow - probably 20+, many in spring plumage
Dark-eyed Junco - 15
House Finch - 4
Lesser Goldfinch - heard
