Hi Folks, I have not had any Greater White-fronted Geese overfly central Douglas County (where I live and work) at all yet this spring. Today I spent 5 hours scanning the skies and listening--from a place I had dozens of observations last year--with no detections of GWFG. Last year my first detections were about April 18 and by the end of April I had seen/heard dozens of flocks. This year so far I've had none. I know a few have been reported up "north." I'm wondering if they are delaying a bit this year, or if they are taking a different route this year (i.e. not including central Douglas County)? Are departures delayed at all in the Klamath Basin? Any thoughts? Matt Hunter Melrose, OR
