I birded Lincoln county Tuesday. I head White-fronted Geese overhead at the
Hatfield Marine Science Center trail around 10 AM, but couldn't see them.
Later I saw a flock of 150 flying west at the north side of Sally's Bend
about 1 PM.
Meanwhile, I saw 75 peeps from the HMSCV trail at 10 AM. At about 11 AM I
found 85 Whimbrel, 45 Western Sandpipers, 25 Surfbirds, 6 B-b plovers and a
couple Dunlin on the beach south of Lost Creek. At Sally's Bend I found 15
Western and 6 Least Sandpipers, 4 Gtr Yellowlegs, and my target species 4
SHORT-BOILLED DOWITCHERS.
By 3 PM I missed the Solitary Sandpiper at McNary Ln pond off Hwy 20, but
found W. Snipe and a couple more Gtr Yellowlegs. I also missed the Pacific
Golden Plover at the Salishan golf course at 4 PM.

And several flocks of Greater White-fronted Geese have been reported
heading north along North Coast from observers in Pacific City, Nehalem,
and Cannon Beach today via Clatsop-Tillamook Birders WhatsApp. Also a few
(2 or 3) Snow Geese.
