I have created a file named glossary.xls in translation SVN. The
excel file has three columns which contain the serial no, English
words and its local translation. When ever i found a better words at
my language, I just open the nvda.po file in notepad++ , use the find
and replaceAll option.

Okay. I guess the translation svn is the best place for this. As I said,
just make sure it's clearly named like translationInfo.txt or something.
Thanks for your work.

Thank you for the answer!
The use for the additional info file would be for future contributors
for the romanian translation. The reason behind it is that there isn't
a de facto standard for localization a.t.m. and I want to give
reference to the sources I used. The file would consist of some links
to the resources and some 20 words descriptions for each. And ,
naturally, it shouldn't be part of the NVDA project, just part of the
translation project (so the translation svn).
Of course, if this solution goes against your format, I would just
have to rely on the e-mail contact present in the .po file and that
the future translator will care to contact and ask about the version.
Point taken about the plural forms, thanks.

Firstly, can I use the translation svn to add a document
inside my language's directory? I'd use that to fill some
general info regarding my translation such as sources I used,
debatable terms etc. It would be a readme txt file of a decent
size.
What would this be used for and by whom? I guess I don't have an
issue with it, but note that it won't be included in NVDA. Just
make the name clearly related to the language, not to NVDA itself;
maybe something like translationInfo.txt. Still, I think a wiki
might be a better place for this.
Secondly, if I were to add the plural forms inside the .po
translation file, would the project use those?
NVDA doesn't currently support plural forms. It is possible and
there's an open issue about this, but unfortunately, I just
haven't had time to look into it.
