I've managed both to join the assembla group and to make the initial
commit. Apparently a local delete, svn update and a replace/copy of my file
did the trick and had no merge issues.
Still a lot to do regarding the romanian locale, but at least I put the
file with the right structure into the locale tree.
I did find out that the "fuzzy" mark discards the translation when PoEdit
compiles the file while playing around with the tool. And now reading your
post, Jamie, I guess I remember the same behaviour when I first "msgmerged"
the available translation into the new version of .pot file. It did create
a lot of fuzzy markings. The "why"s are still a mystery to me, for now, but
I guess it will happen again next friday unless the bot finds a complete
file in the repository . This part of the process is good to know,
especially for me at this moment...:)
And there's also a small issue regarding the comments in the .po file. As I
was starting out I placed some, in the places I didn't feel too comfortable
about or just to make a mark for (maybe) future contributors. But now I
guess these will be gone too...no wonder I didn't see any comments in any
of the other files in the repo...:)))
Anyway, I'm kind of set-up for now, so thanks again!

I have just updated the project and the commitBot has changed theOn Friday each week, it merges in any changed strings from the NVDA

yourself. Normally, you want to commit any changes pretty soon after you
make them to avoid issues like this, but I realise you couldn't in this
case because you didn't have commit privileges. Sorry for the inconvenience.
So I've just won the "merge manually some 1000 lines of text"If the merge proves to be too painful, you could revert to your own
prize....:(
version and just override the changes committed by the bot. It'll merge in
the new strings again next time it runs.
And speaking of auto-commits, I looked through the updated file and asFuzzy means the string changed slightly, but it was close enough to
far as I can see there are a bunch of "fuzzy" markings added to the
.po without changes to the initial message.
another string that the merge was able to "guess" (fuzzy match) a
translation. Fuzzy translations aren't used by NVDA. You should verify them
and clear the fuzzy mark if they're fine. PoEdit should allow you to do
this, though I don't have exact instructions; someone more experienced with
PoEdit should be able to provide these.
