I have to reiterate my request for commit rights for the romanian locale.
If someone could please grand the rights, hopefully is not a painful
process.
I have just updated the project and the commitBot has changed the contents
of my (yet) unpublished version for the nvda.po. So I've just won the
"merge manually some 1000 lines of text" prize....:(
And speaking of auto-commits, I looked through the updated file and as far
as I can see there are a bunch of "fuzzy" markings added to the .po without
changes to the initial message. How could I interpret that?

Thanks to a more careful read of the project wiki and the last message by
James Teh, I've realized that I didn't supply you with my id on
assembla.com so I could get commit privileges to the project.
So my username on assembla is DanPunga
I don't know how you manage rights on this version system, but if these
are language specific, the ro directory needs to be created and added first
(of course..:) ).

Hello all!
I've just discovered the NVDA project while trying to figure out an easy
and available option for a visually impaired person to start developing
some computer user skills under Microsoft Windows.
I've also discovered that the interface and guides are really outdated for
the romanian version. This makes for a rather difficult start with using
the program, for a person that doesn't know English. So with that in mind
(and the fact that I'd have to at least translate some of the user guide
just for personal use), I think it would be better to make the contribution
reusable. So here I am..:)
As I am not that familiar with the free-list mailing system (nor with the
NVDA project itself), any hint, tip or observation of any kind is highly
appreciated. Some info regarding the process of submitting the modified
files (what I should be aware of, except submitting a broken file of
course..:) ), or the organization of this translation team would be very
helpful.
What I've done so far is:
- I've already gone through some of the wiki documentation regarding the
translating contribution
- checked out the internalization repository on my local machine
- I've merged the latest nvda.po for the ro locale into a newly generated
nvda.pot file (for this I've used the french version as source as I've
failed to find any .pot file in the github project; ended up with 1904
strings)
- started to translate it
I'm working on a Ubuntu 14.04 powered machine (with its flavour of PoEdit)
and I'm testing the generated binary on NVDA 2015.4 installed in a virtual
Windows XP SP3.
