The original stays in the " iPhoto Library", or "Events" in Version
8, also backed up in Pictures/iPhoto library. I also put all my
photos in folders & store them in Pictures/my Pictures. Just to be
double sure I save all the latter photos on a DVD, updating that
backup about twice a year. HTH.
