Hi Peter

I don't know how you got on but I've just come across a similar now-show
situation and am wondering if this might help.

Since a straight Copy and Paste often restricts what you can do afterwards
to an illustration within Word, I always save pix etc from a website first
and then Insert them. I have just tried this with a gif file and with the
same saved as a BMP and neither worked, NOR was visible in/acceptable to
PhotoEditor either! JPEGs are never a problem.

It crossed my minds that it may simply be that your installation of Word
currently does not support the file format that you are using?

I will give this a go and see if it proves fruitful.

Thanks

I would open the graphic in a program outside of Word...any graphic program.
I use Image Composer myself but Photo Shop or whatever you would normally
use to create or manipulate graphics. Ensure it is the size and shape you
want it so you don't have to manipulate it within Word. Then re-insert into
the template or document.

The only reason I suggest this approach is because Word is not always good
at handling images, especially if you have to re-size or crop them. I've had
similar issues, even when I took a document (via our network) from my system
to another system of the same configuration (Office 2003).

Here's an article I read on the subject:
http://wordtips.vitalnews.com/Pages/T1220_Resize_Graphics_Outside_of_Wor
d.html

Another problem can be with printers, especially postscript. Word
automatically configures itself to the default printer. Before launching
the document with the graphic in it set up a generic default printer to see
if that helps. I've also had to convert graphics from .jpg to .tif which
sometimes works, sometimes not. Can you link to the graphic instead of
imbed it? That can make a difference as well, particularly if the graphic
is big.

YES....that's it then. It's a watermark in the background. It's a company
logo. But only the test shows up and not the triangle and line that goes
with the text.
