Ray Word is very capable of creating the format that you want. You could use columns, but I think you will find a table, without borders displayed easier to manage. Create a 3 column, 1 row table. Select the first two cells, right click and select merge cells. This will result in two columns, 1 of which is 2/3rds of the page wide and the other 1/3rd wide. Just tab thro the cells and you find that as you tab out of the last, right hand cell a new row will be added. Move to the top left hand side of the table & click on the Table Selector icon that appears. From the Format menu, choose the "Borders & Shading" option, and then on the Borders Tab, click the "None" option. Format & type the text that you want in each column as required. Using Word 2002, I am attempting to put together a newsletter for a non-profit club. On one page, I want to present two articles. The first one should occupy the left 2/3 of the page and the second article should use only the right 1/3 of the page. I want the headline for article 1 to span two columns and the headline of article 2 to go into only the right column. How do I limit article 1 and its headline to the left 2/3 of the page? Different question: Am I using the right tool for this job? Should I be using Publisher instead of Word? I don't have Publisher, and I've never used it, but Word seems a bit unwieldy for page layout. Thank you for the help.
