thanks for the thanks. i too used to create and work with newsletters and other journals. it is very creative work, and depending on the publication, there is some leeway for adding your own creative mark to it. the worst part was chasing people for the articles. the best part was making it look good, and then later seeing it on display for people to read. i also learnt a lot. now i like to look at magazines, and even tv, and try to work out how to emulate the effect in Word - for example, markers at the end of an article, as some magazines do. Text effects where the words are cut in half horizontally and offset various text wrapping techniques, where the text sits on top of part of an image. challenging and fun. kim ----- justin_morgan69@xxxxxxxxxxx "First things first - - but not necessarily in that order." --Doctor Who ----Original Message Follows---- From: Ray Shapp <ras45@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Hi Pearce, <<Follow Robin's initial guidelines and then create a "Character Style" to facilitate ease of use thereafter.>> Good advice. You know, I'm actually beginning to like this job. I've never had the responsibility to create hard copy newsletters. The one fill-in I did during the summer which was read online only and now the help you guys have given me coupled with the results I'm getting from a local printer have made the job quite manageable. Many thanks to you all.
