Yes, thank you. Which is understandable since the template should be in use when Word is open. To the best of my knowledge, once you delete the normal.dot template, Word recreates automatically a new one. Only one thing to report back. You can delete Normal.dot while windows is open. It becomes a file in use. Had to go in through explore and delete it. It still came back with the graph. I took another document I had, renamed it, saved it as normal and replaced the contaminated one. That worked. Thank you again. You have two options a quick & easy way if you do not have your Blank document customised with page, paragraph or font settings. Simply follow the route below: With Word Open, menu file - New - General Templates. Right Single click on the "Blank Document" (which is really the template Normal.dot) Select the "Delete" option from the shortcut menu. In this scenario, Microsoft word will automatically re-create a new Normal.dot based on the Microsoft default settings, ie Times New Roman, 10 points etc etc.... Alternatively, if your Normal.dot is customised and you need to retain these settings rather than just recreate them when using the quick option above. You will need to open the template which will be in a folder that may be hidden. But follow the instructions below: Open Word Menu - File - Open The file will normally be in the following folder: C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates Single click on the file Normal.Dot Click the open button. The template file should open and the word title bar will display: Normal.dot - Microsoft Word. Once open, select the graph and delete it, save the file and close it. That should do the trick for you.
