Great replies.
My friend demonstrated his setup, and I saw that he did make the DB Read-Only,
but even when the DB was in its own non-administrative account, any user could
remove the Read-Only attribute or (worse) the user could delete the entire DB.
We didn't look at the front/back-end idea. And yes, the thread looks
promising.
I'll let you know how this works out. In fact, I have a different application
in a different club, but I may very well do the same thing with my DB.
