Hi Kenny,
I had a 9r59DS which is the basic and receive-only version of the 530.
That was the only Trio/Kenwood have owned.
Never had any trouble with it, and it worked well.

All I know about the TS530 is that they are reliable, and work OK.
About the only possible trouble is the PA's, the 6146 does tend to give
problems (and there are several versions of it) if itisnt neutralised
properly.
(I keep my Yaesu down to 75 or 80 watts to give the longest possible
life to the PA's, considering how expensive they are!)

Regards
Alan

PS, Have you got, or are going to get, your liccence?
