Hi,

In answering Peter's query about making a brass dome, several
people have mentioned getting it done by professional metal spinners,
but no mention has been made of companies doing this work.

In the latest edition of the magazine: "Steam Traction Engine"
there is an article by Edward George which looks at the work of G. A.
Hopkins and Son. They appear to be metal spinners who have specialised
in making the copper and brass tops to traction engine chimneys.

Peter, it might be worth getting a copy of this magazine, if only
to see the set-ups they use.

I hope this is of use.

       Cheers,

          Roger Mason, in St. Agnes.
