I know it sounds hard but I can see where Keith is coming from here, we're talking about 2 different beasts entirely and that's where many problems arise I think in people comparing the Apple Mac with Voiceover and other Screen Readers. I won't go down that line either but consider this.
Because Voiceover is so radically different you have to be prepared I'm afraid to have a little patience and sit down for 2 minutes and forget JAWS or whatever because simply Voiceover is not JAWS, like comparing say a car with a bicycle, whilst both have wheels and get you from point A to point B they work differently.

Stacy,If you want to compare screenreaders, find a list where you can do that. This list is for learning how to use Voiceover.Buy a MAC and if you don't like it, take it back. That is the only way you can tell which one is best for you.Keith Reedy On May 27, 2009, at 10:43 PM, Stacey Robinson wrote:Sure, but I see that as a fine question for someone considering a mac.
