[macvoiceover] Re: VO and or jaws

You can't compare the products in that way.
There both completely different operating systems and work differently. Voice over just works better it's different to windows so most of what you lernt in windows will still apply to the mac but you just can't say jaws is anything like voice over because it's not. The keystrokes are different for a start, the way you interact with the mac screen and do certain tasks are different to windows. For example interacting with controls on the screen that concept doesn't even come in to it when using windows.

Personally I would rather have my mac then jaws anyday. It's way over priced, you have to buy upgrades each and every year plus apple has taken the right approach here. Why should we have to pay for accessibility for a computer and the mac has it already built in.

NO thanks, jaws can go to hell. give me a mac and voice over anyday.

Subject: [macvoiceover] VO and or jaws

Hi all,

For people who used jaws and then went to a mac and voiceover, is jaws better? How do the two compare? I was talking about this with a friend of mine and she thought jaws was better, but had not really used vo.
I just wondered if someone could give me a comparison.
Thanks,
Have a blessed day,
