Well, I'm still using windows, as we need it for work, and I'm still using windows at home with jaws 12. When I first got my mac I didn't care for the fact that I needed to use the VO keys in conjunction with the arrow keys to get around, but I'm getting use to it. As I said, I'm definitely a novis, I don't even know how to manage files yet lol, and I'm in the process of familiarize myself with the web browser. Ask me that question in a month, lol. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Eric SS" <sseric57@xxxxxxxxx>

I am using JAWS 10. I hate the idea of buying upgrades for JAWS, especially when I am now mainly an information consumer, rather than producer.
If it isn't too early for you to say, is there any one thing or few things that were hardest to get out of your head from Windows and into your head with Apple? I have never used Apple, other than the ITouch and IPhone. By far, I use the IPhone for reading, etc.
Thanks for your thoughts. Eric "I hate quotations. Tell me what you know." R.W. Emerson On Aug 22, 2011, at 9:00 AM, "Chris Judge" <chrisjudge3@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
Hi:Thanks for the welcome. I am a new member as well. I just received my mac book pro, and am warming up to it nicely, although for a staunch pc user, some of the concepts take a bit of getting use to.I'll begin with a question. My mac has ms word 2010. When I launch the program from the dock, I can't seem to get in to the area where I can type text. I don't have my mac here, so I can't tell you exactly what it says. Is ms word accessible with voice over, and if so, is there anything I have to do to set it up?Thanks.----- Original Message ----- From: "Daniel McGee" <venables134@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <mac4theblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 22, 2011 9:41 AM Subject: [mac4theblind] Re: Welcome to new membersHi all, Daniel hear just want to welcome new members to the group too.
