Note the subtle implicature, that R. Paul did stand him (Andy)  yeterday.
 
Note too that a pedant would have wrong paraphrased:
 
"If anybody says she or he is undecided, he or she is not undecided: one is  
stupid."
 
Is "undecided" a verb?
