Christian,

There are never too many questions from someone who is doing as much as 
you are.

I thought I had updated the liblouisxml manual on the jjb-software site
also.  Anyway, the licensing information is exactly the same as for
liblouis. I have discussed licensing with ViewPlus, the other copyright
holder, and we have agreed that the older language should be deleted and
the language for LGPL put in its place.
