Hi! Is there a 32-bit version that can be run under 32-bit xp? /A John J. Boyer skrev 2011-09-13 09:51:
Greg, A Mac version should be available soon. Most of the activitgy regarding this is on the BrailleBlaster list (brailleblaster@xxxxxxxxxxxxx). The Mac version will also be 64-bit. It will have some quirks, but these will be fixed in time. Check http://www.brailleblaster.org in a few days to see if the Mac version is there. Also will this be a stand alone application which will not require any other items to be installed before being usable? I feel this last point is very important as many users do not have the skills to download, build and install software or even have developer tools installed. Your heop is needed in making 32-bit binaries, because my machines are all 64-bit. Please follow the instructions given in the README.windows file in the liblouisutdml repository. In this release, the Open, Save-as and Translate menu items work. Only xml files, such as DAISY are supported in the graphical interface. You can translate text and html files by using the translate subcommand like this: gjva -jar brailleblaster.jar translate input-file output-file There are many options to the translate subcommand. See the section on file2brl, which is in the liblouisutdml documentation in the helpDocs subdirectory. The version of liblouis used here has a stubborn bug that may cause the first and last words of an emphasized qhrase not to be fully contracted. I've been looking for it for a long time. Eventually it will be squashed. Thanks, John -- John J.
