Hi All, Was doing a little reading of Juno's latest quarterly report at FreeEdgar.com and came across this interesting tidbit. Has to do with what the FTC thinks has been unfair practices on Juno's part. And as Juno is required to give notice to certain subscribers, I'm sure they wouldn't mind a little help. +++++++ The Federal Trade Commission has been investigating the advertising, billing and cancellation practices of various Internet companies, including the Company. As a result of this investigation, Juno and the FTC entered into a consent agreement, which was approved by the FTC on June 29, 2001, after a public comment period. Under the terms of the consent agreement, Juno is required to give notice regarding the possible availability of redress payments to certain subscribers who cancelled the service and identified either the unavailability of local access numbers or the incurrence of long distance charges as a reason for such cancellation, as well as to subscribers who participated in specified rebate programs. Juno will provide an opportunity for such subscribers to apply for refunds for long distance charges they incurred in connection with using Juno?s services for up to two months following the date they subscribed to such services, and will be required to make compensatory payments to qualified subscribers who provide appropriate documentation. The Company currently anticipates that the compensatory payments will be approximately $800,000 and has accrued a liability for that amount representing its estimate for the probable loss. The range of possible loss is estimated to be between $370,000 and $1.2 million. +++++++ George Lunt ..... so. cal.
