Bang in a PIREP anyway as I can circumvent the approval.

IVAO records hours in two ways. One is a total online time with the system -
this is automatically incremented each time you plug in. It's not a true
figure though as you have just found and your actual total may be a lot
higher. Should you forget to log off after a flight and sit idle on the
ground for an hour then the time flown within that session will be zeroed.

VA hours are independent of the IVAO hours and show total time recorded with
the airline. These are under my control and I can adjust them to any value I
want. Indeed I have altered them to show everyone's hours from the start of
JHB and they show your total hours from the time you joined the airline
whether offline or with FPI or IVAO. These hours should tally with the hours
on my JHB Hours page most of the time but sometimes IVAO goes weird and
their figures go wrong. If this happens I adjust them to correct the error.

It must be the early morning starts but I'm in trouble again.

Landed at Cambridge and was summoned for breakfast. I forgot to
disconnect and, just as I've returned to the machine, I've received a
message that I was on too long and today's hours have been reset. I
don't know if this invalidates the Pirep I've just filed. If so, I'll
settle for an off line flight.

Sorry about that.
