I can't see it at all on that post - not even the link.  I suspect I
could though if I logged in, which sort of takes us back to the beginning!
Since when, though, did those names reflect the real World.  A
Recreational Pilot I may be, but my qualification is a PPL. 

I have a feeling that both these organisations schemes are going to
collapse through pilot hostility.  That would be a shame because the idea
is sound, to improve standards, but they need to think very carefully how
to implement it.  The scheme should start from now and give all existing
members with more than say 100 hours on line a CPL/IR to start with. New
members would need to work through the ratings. 

It's a bit of a nonsense though giving a newbie in his 747 a "Sport Pilot"
rating. Both Vatsim & IVAO need to ask themselves how to deal with the
new members, and whether they have systems in place to deal with an
inundation of training requests ratings queries.
