Hi guys, I tried doing a repair and it did not work. Someone suggested removing jfw and downloading from f.s. Thats next so hope it helps. I have found numerous quirks in jfw 8 and may revert to jfw 7.1 which seemed to run better on my machine.

I could not change the speech speed. After many chats with FS, I finally downloaded newest version of JAWS 8; uninstalled the version I was using and installed the new version.
