Just a thought. I wonder if performing the routine called a Jaws repair
would have rectified the problem, without having to install another version
or anything so radical. That is a very good thing to try routinely when
something really ordinary like this mysteriously stops working right.

Hi David,

I had a similar problem with the same configuration you are using. I could
not change the speech speed. After many chats with FS, I finally downloaded
newest version of JAWS 8; uninstalled the version I was using and installed
the new version. Since then, everything has worked fine. If you try it, I
hope it works for you.

Best wishes,

Rollie

  Subject: punctuation

Hi folks, I recently had a virus and had to reinstall jfw latest version.
I am using win xp home and i.e. 7.

I cannot save the punctuation level I want. I followed freedoms advice and
also had a sighted friend do it as well. The punctuation refuses to stay as
I want it and also insert v does not work either.

Freedom sent me another e mail saying this would have to be referred to a
higher god but I was curious if anyone else had this to deal with.

  Thanks,

  David
