?That used to happen to me very frequently. It seems when my computer was
formated to instal windows 7 the person actually put the log on screen on
spanish. Jaws when it was time to log myself, it said "please activate jaws".
Or something like that. I just ignored the messege. I used to log in and
presto. Working correctly again. But this time, I rebooted and all, and it said
that I needed to activate jaws. Meanwhile, it was going to work on the 40
minute mode. But now its working fine. Thank God. hahaha.

I have found, upon occasion, that JAWS thinks it needs to be re-activated but I
just re-boot and it then seems to be all happy with life.
We were suspicious that my wireless USB keyboard might be the culprit but I
have had no recent occurances so I doubt if that was the bproblem.
I have, however, noticed that many times some of my various settings have been
changed after a Microbloat update.

I never had a "update" problem. However, I found it strange. Let me say one
thing though. I downloaded the update file. It installed correctly. I used my
computer for a full day and nothing weird. Then the next day, jaws told me I
needed to activated it. I even lost my last activation key. Also openbook said
I needed to reactivate it as well. Again, I lost my last activation key. Good
thing FS is very responsive and in under 8 hours they gave 3 new shiny
activation keys for both jaws and openbook.

Ted,
I always go to the FS web site and directly download the relevant update file
to my hard drive. I've always had problems with the auto update feature.

Yes. Jaws 12 is out. Not beta. It works fine over here. I had some problems
with the activation, but it was nothing.
