I think the message bubble still has to be present for it to work. And as I said, Windows doesn't display them long enough so JAWS can't see it to reread it. Yes thank you. I do recall something to that affect with a prior version of Jaws. I tried the insert tab suggestion also offered up by a previous poster, but it doesn't seem as though it worked. Oh well... Thanks anyway... -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of James Homuth Sent: Saturday, April 18, 2009 7:16 PM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: RE: information bubbles and jaws? At some point during the lifecycle of I believe JAWS 8 or 9, you were able to have the message repeated to you by using the insert+tab or jaws key plus tab combination after it popped up. The problem is, it doesn't stay up for long, so JAWS doesn't have time to read it a second time. That's a minor flaw with Windows itself, and not something FS can correct in a future update of JAWS. I'm aware of the left click ability. It is useful, but I for example, wouldn't wat to just left click on something if I didn't hear what it was exactly that Jaws said to begin with. That's more my inquiry than anything else. The bility to have Jaws repeat the message if I for whatever reason didn't hear it the first time. -----Original Message----- From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Yardbird Sent: Saturday, April 18, 2009 8:11 AM To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: information bubbles and jaws? But within how many seconds do you have to left click? And do you mean that you definitely can't hit Enter because that will only activate whatever control Jaws says is the focus at that moment in a dialogue, and you won't be in what jaws perceived as a dialogue? What if you didn't hear or understand everything the bubble said? Is it still no worry to just click on it and have faith? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hallsworth" <christopherh40@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Saturday, April 18, 2009 6:12 AM Subject: Re: information bubbles and jaws?
