Thanks Dean; I guess background color is a font attribute and not a text effect, and really I should have researched it before answering. What we had trouble with is strike-through, which is definitely a text effect, so when we copy text that has been struck through, it isn't struck through after the copy. I asked a Word MVP and there doesn't seem to be an easy way around that particular problem. =20 Chip > -----Original Message----- > From: jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx=20 > [mailto:jfw-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dean Martineau > Sent: Friday, June 11, 2004 12:24 PM > To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: RE: highlight text in Microsoft Word=20 >=20 > Using Word XP, I just tested what Chip said. So assuming JFW is=20 > accurate, (I didn't print this and have anybody look at > it,) the highlight is indeed preserved when the text is copied. >=20 > Dean >=20 > -- > To post a message to the list, send it to jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx=20 > To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send a message to=20 > jfw-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the=20 > subject line. > Archives located at: //www.freelists.org/archives/jfw >=20 > If you have any concerns about the list, post received from=20 > the list, or the way the list is being run, do not post them=20 > to the list.
