Not sure it works all the time, but when the combo box opens, hold the alt
key and down arrow once or twice, then release the alt key and you can make
your selection.

Heya listers,
Another Jaws 7 frustration lately is when I open a combo box to search what
I want and Jaws automatically shuts it down and takes me to a completely new
focus on that page and sometimes the previous screen. Question is what can I
do to keep the combo box open till I find what I'm looking for? as I already
turn refresh page off as well as flash movies etc
