i have used the free A V G to clean machines that were infected viruses that
norton let in
and the norton tools did not
i reapeat did not
fix the problem
if it saw it at all

and if i am working with some one and their computer i have trained them to
keep the antivirus up to date
no matter which one it is

norton like microsoft
may be the biggest and number 1
but they have more hackers and attackers gunning for them than any one else
too

i have heard good things about nod 32, but it is not the easiest one to use
either

and if one is gonna shell out about 40 dollars
for any of the antivirus products
A V G pro, is good for 2 years

and if one does not have the cash, to buy protection

using a computer and going online without anything
is too, too, scary to even think about

and we do meet people all the time who do not have any protection for their
computer
i keep a stack of cd's with free AVG in my bag to give them when i meet one
it is better than nothin

I've never been infected with a virus in 22 years of computer-using, but I
attribute that more to my vigilance than the perfectness of any antivirus
software. I would need a lot more to go on than the word of two guys on a
atech show.
