RE: antivirus software

I agree whole heartedly, I was just pointing out that AVG may not be as poor
a program as you seemed to suggest. Also, AVG is jaws friendly which some
programs are not.
I too have been careful not to open files that seem suspicious or from
persons that I do not know. The only time I was infected was when I
installed a voice synthesis program, Artic, which had been sent to me by
the company and the floppy had a virus on it. This was back in the good old
days of DOS.
It is necessary to periodically check your computer for viruses, keep the
anti-virus program updated, and be careful what you open for programs.

I've never been infected with a virus in 22 years of computer-using, but I
attribute that more to my vigilance than the perfectness of any antivirus
software. I would need a lot more to go on than the word of two guys on a
atech show.
