Very good idea! that happens to me a lot, Specially at school in a class where others use the same computer as me. maybe that could be an option you could check on jaws startup. So it checks the sound cards and volumes when it loads.

Hello FS Staff and Others: I have a suggestion for a future release of JFW. Most of us using JFW depend on it in order to access anything on the computer, and we also use it through the sound card. Sometimes, if the sound card gets muted which does happen, we lose speech and all other sounds as well. I'd like to see Freedom Scientific include a keystroke and appropriate script in the default.jss file that when pressed would check to see if the Mute All check box in Volume Control is checked when a user has no sound, and if it is, uncheck it.
