With all due respect for the trouble described in this statement, Bruce said
something extremely important. This mailing list forum is not sponsored by
Freedom Scientific nor, so far as we're given to know, monitored officially
by any of its staff. Which means that although it's fine to share such
critiques with the rest of us, for the suggestions to be useful, they must
also be sent to the proper email address at Freedom Scientific. I forgot
what the suggestion box email address is, but I'm sure Bruce and a few
others of us know.
Hope this is more clear.

I think Ray's suggestion is a good one. This happened to me just the other
day and I had to get sighted help to get to the volume controls of the
sound card to get the sounds back. I seem to recall that there is an
address for suggestions to FS. I'm not sure what it is though. Perhaps
someone can find out. I suppose we could ask through the support address.
