Hello Steve,

I understand how to set up the keystroke. That is not really the issue now.
Your right, I wasn't confused about that at all. What happened is, I
originally set up the keystroke to Control, shift, R. now when I sent it to
Judith, It did say, Reply directly to sender. Unfortunately, the email was
sent to the list too. So I went back into keyboard manager, and set a second
keystroke to Control, shift, A. then I deleted the first one. The second
email I sent to Allan. This email did the same thing. It went to the sender
and also the list. So now that I confirmed that it was not a keystroke
issue, I went back into the keyboard manager, and reset the keystroke back
to the original one. Control, shift, R. Here is where it gets tricky. When I
press Control, shift, R now, jaws does not say anything. It's completely
silent.
Before I set the keystroke for, send directly to sender, The Control, shift, R, brought up the reply to all. Or, what it did was, replied to the original sender and the list. When alls I wanted it to go to was the original sender.
So needless to say, I have two problems now. One, the reply directly to
sender is still not working right. and second, I no longer have jaws saying
anything when I press the Control, Shift, r keystroke.

I have not been able to fix this one all day.
You want to talk about aggravating.

Do you have any thoughts on this one?
Or for that matter, does anyone?

Thanks for helping.

okay I just played with it. now when you are on that place where it says
"none." hit the context key. it is one left of the right control key. It
will say add key stroke ... control a. I think you can hit control a if you want. then pick a key combo. how about control shift r. then tab and it will

say add button hit space bar on that and tab to okay and hit enter. Lets see

if that works

Hello Steve,

You certainly pointed me in the right direction. On the reply to sender,
it
says none.
Just want to note, I'm using Outlook. In case it matters for a key
setting.
Does anyone know how to create this key combination?

Thanks for the help Steve.
Roger Bachelder

Hey Roger lets give this a try. Hit insert f2 and down arrow to key board
manager. You will hear it say outlook express 1 of 92 or something like
that. tab once and you will be in a list of the keys and what they do. hit the letter r and you will hear some read commands. then down arrow and see
if you find reply directly to sender. It should say what key combination
makes it work. If it says "none" then we have to create one and I am not
sure how to do it. I just did it once and was able to do it by tabbing
around. But someone else can tell us how to do it. Lets just see if you
have

A key stroke listed there.

Hello everyone,

First of all, Thanks Judith, Adrian and Yardbird for getting back to me.
I'm going to write below what is happening with all of the suggestions.
Hopefully I'm missing something simple.
When I replied to Judith, I used the Control Shift, R keystroke.
Unfortunately, the message was sent to the list.
When I do the Insert, shift, R keystroke. I get a ding. I'm guessing this
is
because, I'm using Jaws 7.0.
When I have a message open, and I do a Control R, and start tabbing down
to
see the original senders address, the size of the message starts to
change.
Either way I try, I can't get jaws to say, replying directly to Sender.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks again for all of the help.
It's much appreciated.

Roger Bachelder
