Look at the dates of the duplicate .dbx files. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike & Barbara To: jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, August 31, 2008 4:43 PM Subject: Re: Outlook Express & .dbx files Hi Loren, Thank you very much for your response. Here is the problem that I am having now. I currently have all my folders in the OE program working correctly. In the personal store manager where the .dbx files are stored there are folders with almost duplicate names, for example, the folder named Stansberry and Associates in the OE program. In the store .dbx files it is named Stansberry and Associates (1).dbx and the second .dbx file has the same name as the OE program folder. The difference is left paran1right paran in the first .dbx file. How do I tell which of the 2 .dbx files is the correct one? I hope I haven't totally confused you. Thanks much. But, if you open OE and all folders are not showing or opening up, do the following. Make a backup list of the DBX folders. These are the store ones in your computer, not in OE. With OE closed, go to the store list and delete the "folder.dbx". Now, open up OE and all folders will show up and a new folder.dbx will form in your store list. I hope this works. I have folders in the .dbx files, such as, Websites and Tech Stuff.dbx, that arre in where the DBx files are located, but not in my folder list in OE. How do I get the folders working correctly back into the OE folder list? I am running XP/Office Home, Jaws 9& 10, and OE 6. All advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks much. Mike
