this is what you may want

Creating Hyperlinks with in a document

This is a way of creating a table of contents, and making the list into
hyperlinks that will jump the reader to the desired information in your
document.

For #1 go to the first heading or the introduction of your essay and place your
first book mark as described in #1 as follows.

1. Insert a bookmark at the location you want to go to

a. Alt I

b. K (for bookmark

c. Type a single word to describe the bookmark. If you
wish to use 2 words to describe this bookmark us capital letter for the first
letter in each word (EX: GuideDogs). There is not a space between the 2 words
but each begins with a cap.

d. Press enter

Now go to the top of your essay and put a hard page return in so that you have
a blank page between your cover page (if you have one) and the beginning of
your essay. CTRL ENTER On this page type a list that represents the heading in
your essay. Then follow #2 & #3 to create the hyperlinks.

2. Select the text or object you want to represent the
hyperlink.

a. Move the cursor to the location where the hyperlink will
be.

b. Select the text or object (picture word art etc).

3. Insert the hyperlink

a. Alt I

b. I for (hyperlink)

c. Under Link to, go to Place in This Document Press Alt A
(will take you to the button for place in this document)

d. In the list, select the bookmark you want to link to.
Use your arrow keys to find the bookmark you created in step 1c.

e. Press Enter

Save your essay now that the hyperlinks are in place CTRL S

The following tells you the reader how to use these hyperlinks to jump to a
desired location in your essay.

4. To use the hyperlink

a. Move to the hyperlink you wish to follow.

b. Make sure you are in the text or on the object of the
link.

c. Press enter and you will be taken to the bookmarked
text.

Subject: Marking & Using Headers

Hi List,
Forgive me if this turns out not to be able to be called a jaws related
question. I use a keystroke on the web and hoped to use it or some thing like
it in a word document. so here it goes:
When on a web page you can advance down to the next heading by pressing the
letter H, now my question is: I have copied a dinner menu from my local supper
club into a word document and would like to use the header option like on the
web pages on the menu in my word document. What I'm after is putting headers
called beverages, sandwiches, dinners, desserts, appetizers and side orders in
as headers and then filling in the appropriate items under the appropriate
header so when I go to that document and the sandwich header is three fourths
of the way down the document all I have to do is hit a key stroke to bring
me down the headers till I get to the one I want. If there's a way to do this
I'd appreciate it if I could get step by step instructions on how to accomplish
this. If you want you can send the information off list to me at:
tippy@xxxxxxxxxxxx
I'm thinking there might be a jaws keystroke to accomplish this.
Thanks for any help or ideas.
  Tippy
