Hi albert, there's no need for me to do that. All it requires is to click on the install file. Same thing. Same process. My problem wasn't that I don't know how to run the repair, but that I couldn't remember where I'd put the file. I downloaded Jaws 8 anyway, and never installed it from the CD. So the result is that I've run the repair, and now Jaws is running a little better, including its performance with the Word spell check. So, thanks for suggesting the CD. If I hadn't been able to find the installation file, I certainly would have gotten the CD out of my desk and done it that way, just as you suggest. t ----- Original Message ----- From: <cutolo.albert@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, February 27, 2007 9:12 PM Subject: Re: Jaws repair Hello Yardbird: Just insert your jaws 8 cd, go to where it says jaws setup. Then press enter just as if you were going too install it again, then tab along until you find three radio buttons. the first will say, modify the second will say repari, and the third one down is the one which says, uninstall or remove. Hope that's what your looking for. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Yardbird" <yardbird@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "JFW List" <jfw@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, February 27, 2007 6:05 PM Subject: Jaws repair > Hi, > My spell checker is behaving very crazily with Jaws while I'm working in > Word using Jaws 8, and I think what I ought to do is run a Jaws repair. > I've > already refreshed the screen, as well as exited and then relaunched Jaws. > > But I've forgotten how the Jaws repair is done in Jaws 8.
